27 (22) Nets 34-48 Ouch, ouch, ouch. After every other Atlantic team chasing Boston made a big-name snag -- Elton Brand, Jermaine O'Neal, Mike D'Antoni -- rebuilding Jersey was pegged to finish last in the East in ESPN's staff poll.

    I didn't realize Mike D'Antoni was playing.

Talk about receiving a lot of love. I'm not really disappointed by these rankings, though. Everyone is going to be quick to judge the Nets as losing team seeing as how Kidd, Jefferson, and MVP Collins are gone. 27 might be slightly too harsh, but I'll live with it simply because they mean nothing. Let's see how right these are by the end of the season.

MS could be right, or he could be wrong.

We'll know at the conclusion of this season.

For a preseason power ranking, that's fair. There's no reason to have us higher right now because we're very young and fairly inexperienced.

By the end of the season, I expect us to rise up that list. As the rookies gain experience, and the new acquisitions start to gel, we should only get better as the season progresses.

i pretty much agree. i have 0 expectations for this team. 100% rebuilding mode.

good news is, any success they do get will feel all the more sweeter cause im expecting nothing.

we have some talent, but other teams are just way too good.

ps - toronto? man, management up there is really amazing. what a great team they have. dont be surprised if they are 2nd best in the east with boston. i think they are better than cleveland at this point.

I like being ranked low. now we can only go up..and alot of expert predictions turn out being very wrong. no one thought the Hawks or 76ers would of make the playoffs. No one thought the Lakers or Hornets would of been that good either. We just gotta go out and play games and try to prove them wrong by playing hard thats all

    Someone has to be #27.

I can't wait to see all the "Coach of the Year" votes Frank receives.
