As one of my far left professors says, "There is only one person in this country that scares the shit out of me, and that is Nancy Pelosi". Why she has a leadership position in the house, and was even elected in the first place is amazing to me. The woman is vile.

Really? Do you care to point to one example where House Republicans "fell in line" on a bill promoted by the Democratic Party and the Bush Administration? I think about the Bush/Kennedy work on education, and even then most Republicans refused to vote for it.
I watched all 3 parts of the video, can't stand Pelosi, but fail to see what you object to in this instance. The bailout is a treasonous scam on America, she was bright enough to see that, and she made that knowledge public. That's her job. Too bad most politicians are either in on it, or too stupid to recognize it.

Not every investor has $100K to start with. The FSLIC insures accounts for $500K. People in California are withdrawing funds from banks at an alarming rate, which is putting them under - they need the cash deposits to survive. Insurance isn't paid out unless there's a reason for the claim. It's better than actually shelling out $700B to insure these accounts with that $700B and never have to use a dime of it. Anyone but me notice the dollar is getting stronger and stronger these days?
