Who was your favorite NBA player to watch growing up? I was a HUGE fan of Dennis Rodman and David Robinson
Some guy named Michael Jordan. I don't know how many people know who he is, but he was pretty good back in the day. Also loved watching Stockton and Malone run the P&R. Talk about an absolute thing of beauty.
Stockton and Malone was a thing of beauty. Although I always hated Malone. Loved it when Rodman would take him out of the game by getting in his head.
I loved throw-back Kobe. The one with the fro and the high flying flashy dunks. Although I can't complain about this Kobe we're currently witnessing either. :]
I remember my first basketball game I watched was when Reggie faced off against MJ, and I thought 3 pointers were so cool cause of how far they were, that game Indiana beat Chicago and my first idol was Reggie Miller. So first thing I learned how to do was shoot.
Michael Jordan. Anyone who grew up in the late 80's through the 90's that doesn't at least mention Jordan is lying. Everybody wanted to be like Mike. Aside from MJ, I loved Kerry Kittles. I also liked Jeff Hornacek for some reason. Could never figure out why, and still can't to this day.
I like Jordan a lot more now than then. When I saw him beat my Blazers in 92 as a kid, I was pissed. I also was pissed that he won so many championships because I wanted the Blazers to win one
I failed to mention this in my post, but Reggie got me INTO basketball and I loved him. Then when I paid more attention I started to like the usual suspects. Michael Jordan for sure. I loved Sabonis lol.
