Detroit wouldn't be so bad either. PG: Stuckey SG: T-Mac SF: Prince PF: Maxiell C: Sheed 6th: McDyess 7th: Head 8th: Kwame! On 2nd thought they wouldn't be great, although still one of the best teams in the East. Seems like a lateral move for them.
Well if Tmac misses some games due to back spasms. Who is going to run the Detroit offense somewhat reasonably?
Rodney Stuckey maybe? The kid is loaded with potential and has the opportunity to be a great player in the NBA.
Possibly, especially as he gets more experience. I saw some nice performances during the playoffs from him. His regular season stats of FG% of 40% and 3 point FG% of 18% weren`t spectacular though. I just think if Tmac goes out 15 games during the season due to a minor back injury. It will be difficult to have Stuckey and Head playing like 40+ mpg at PG/SG.
So is it automatic that if the Rockets can't get past the 1st round, it's because T-Mac underperformed? Maybe he has an excellent season, misfortune strikes like last year, and the Rockets get eliminated early. Who's to blame then?
I don't think McGrady is worth Billups and Rip. Especially after reports on his injured shoulder. Teams will definitely low ball the Rockets because of this. If the Rockets can't make it past the first round, then changes have to be made. They have had too many opportunities and haven't been able to capitalize.
