Not seriously, but injured none the less http://www.blazersedge.com/2008/9/30/625390/oden-tweaked-his-ankle-don
I think we can analyze this post and come to the following conclusion: Da Rizzle believes that Portland is going to make the Playoffs even if Oden is hurt. Clearly, if he thought otherwise - he would just wish Oden to sit out until the Lakers are done with their 4 regular season games against the Blazers - but it is clear that even the Bynum-colored glasses he wears can not shield him against the light of a Portland team going against the Lakers in the playoffs with Oden on the court. Thanks for the compliments, dude. We are excited about our team as well
I have a feeling the whole season will be like this . . . everytime GO hits the floor there will be a collective holding of the breath. I understand Oden having to psychologically get over the knee surgery, I didn't think that would carry over to the fans. But when I saw the title to the thread, I realized I'm going to suffering psychlogically with Oden's knee injury . . . maybe more than him.
Take it easy, Chicken Littles. Players tweak ankles in practices and games all the time. He'll be fine. -Pop
I know how you feel. I'm sure the same thing goes on with each fan and their superstars. Except for Indiana, whose there anymore? I personally don't want Oden to be injured because as a Lakers fan, I want my team to play the best of the best, not half of the best, and I consider Portland to be a lock for the playoffs this year. It'd be a shame if all our matchups we didn't get to see each others stars you know? I'm also a smaller scale Rockets fan, noone ever sees their best lol Not at the rate they've been going for the past years.
Also, Oden will practice tonight. http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindblazersbeat/2008/09/first_practice_scare_oden_roll.html
Have you heard about McGrady needing surgery at the end of the year. Something tells me he will be in and out of the line up all year with nagging injuries. And I'm with you, I don't like to see players injuried.
"... and to further bring gloom and doom to the Rose City, our crack reporter, Glenndal Frizard, spied Greg Oden sneeze. We're not exactly sure what this means folks, but rest assured that Glenndal will stay on top of this disappointing development." Shit. I'm asking for a refund on my ticket package.
The Goryonion poking fun at itself? That is refreshing. I'd also give even odds that Canzano writes a nearly identical column...and means every word!
He's always like this, and it's always back spasms. There was an article I posted in the Rockets forum, but he said he feels 80% and his knees are sore or something like that. Rockets should've shopped T-Mac in my opinion, just to see what they could've gotten. There were summer rumors of a Rockets-Detroit trade, but I think the Rockets wanted too much for T-Mac.
