    I agree with Dirk, I never liked Avery. It seemed that he wanted to control everything.

    dirk's just mad, because Avery wanted him gone after the warriors series.............Avery did a great job overall imo. I questioned his late game decisions at times, but he was the toughest thing on that mavericks team...

    I will have to disagree. Avery did an adequate job, at best. He coached a team that had one of the worst collapses in the history of the NBA Finals and then managed have that same team be involved in the biggest first round upset in the history of the NBA. So while he won a lot of regular season games, he had no real post season success, and in the end, isn't that what matters?

    Beyond that, Avery didn't always get along too well with his players, especially Kidd, the one guy that Cuban brought to Dallas to win a title. His late game decision were iffy sometimes too, especially pulling Kidd out of that one game.
