http://www.nba.com/nets/news/China_Press-282362-64.html all it has is picture of yi and a few words... the menu choices are all in english and theres nothing for the fans at all. I'm assuming they think china either a) doesn't care or b) can't buy tickets so they cant contribute to revenue. Newsflash! Chinese americans are Yi fans too and we'd like some love from the webmasta.
You will also note that in the listing of teams, the Rockets are first in the Western Conference and the Bucks are still listed first in the East. It hasnt been updated.
I found this gave me insight into the dark and arcane traditions that characterize a nation struggling to right the disparity between Han and Hexadecimal, in essence the more ubiquitous "internet" versus the ceremonial "paper". In short I don't know if what you replied to is offensive, but instead, to paraphrase a Chinese proverb "causing fun, and not trouble?". I think all the big words I just used prove that I have your number on this difficult cultural issue, and that your prophylactic defense of Chinese fandom is without the valor or merit that you may perceive.
parchment? no... you missed the whole damn point of that part of the opening ceremonies... china invented PAPER. Parchment is animal skin... invented by the greeks. nice try at a fail joke. I dont really care that much. i can't read chinese that well. I just think the nets are shooting themselves in the foot by not marketing to the chinese american Yi fans through their website.
I agree they should make the site better for our chinese friends. Maybe by the time the season starts they'll hire someone that's going to make it much better.
