Interesting. My reaction to the first debate was that Obama looked like he was memorizing what he is being told.

(and that McCain was incredibly boring)

I think there is a difference than being told what to do. Obama is surrounded by well Obama people. I mean he's at the top of the ticket so his campaign is generally going the way he wants to go.

Palin is being told what to do by McCain's campaign and they're using her in the wrong way. The reason why Obama has caught on to so many people and younger people is he never really pretended to be the experience candidate. He was the confident candidate that will bring change. Whether or not you agree he will is not the point. That's what he's running on and it's got him this far.

McCain was running on experience as well as country first and he new it wasn't working. He takes Palin as his VP which goes against running on experience, but gets his base going. However, he's still running on experience only he's feeding people her experience. Experience she doesn't have.

Palin's strongest point is her ability to connect with voters, not that she can see Putin fly over her house. Yet McCain's people aren't letting her connect with voters. They aren't letting her talk about morals. They're feeding her talking points and I'm guessing pressuring her to repeat certain lines over and over. Such as we won't second guess Israel. Well why did she say that? Cause the Jewish vote is going to be a big vote to get this election. They're using her as a political tool instead of just letting her be herself.

Although conspiracy theorists will tell you that this is a all a ploy to get people to think Palin isn't up to the task only for her to come through and exceed expectations at the VP debate tomorrow. :NOTMARIS:

Denny, do you believe that McCain's handlers don't tell him what to say?
