Now that S2 is on vB, it feels just like JBB, except with a much wider variety of people and subjects to discuss.
Comparing the OT political discussions at old JBB with the ones I read now, its amazing how much more intelligent and advanced they are. I used to feel relatively smart at JBB and here I'm sometimes intimidated by the heavyweights.
I came on at the very end of bbb and actually really liked the sportXforums.com. I thought it has soo much potential if they were willing to develop it but they weren't and VS can choke on it. I worked my butt off for the hockeyforum and would have done the same with the baseball forum but i felt it had less potential. In the end though, I loved working with Roger but everyone else admin wise at those places were shifty. BBF still has some great raps posters that i'd love to have here. and kas is still there. that kinda freaks me out.
I miss the old JBB but probably mostly due to the fact we lost some posters. I remember how the college b-ball forum was always jammin' with Schaddy, VC, and UK making great posts....now the college forum here is dead and there aren't anything that compare to those guys in terms of knowledge. We should definitely bring back some of the stuff we had @ JBB like OTF or those rap battles with Umair lmao
I thought you changed your user title like that in order to be accepted in certain cliques.... :] You're really from JBB? VC always lurks around. Run BJM is quite knowledgeable and BasX has been carrying his load too in the college forums.
lol why you gotta do that Smitty? I miss JBB Although S2 isn't bad either now after the changes that have been made.
Yeah.. I've always had other forums to go if I wanted to discuss other sports. And I find that forums that are more focused primarily one sport have more lasting power anyway.
I don't like spreading myself thin over other boards. I'm happy to have competent people to discuss various things here at S2.
Brings back memories... I must say I do miss that tight little community we had; I felt like I knew everyone. Nowadays I discuss Knick hoops by myself
