Had problems in the secondary; they added a physically talented CB in Porter via the draft and signed a solid FA type in Gay.

They had problems at LBer; traded for Vilma.

Need help in the middle; draft Ellis.

Got a vertical TE for their passing game.

Could the Saints be back in the playoff hunt? I think they are. I think they win the division.

9-11 wins IMO. I slightly favor the Bucs in the division because they have the better o-line and one of the two or three best defensive units in the game. Saints get the first wildcard.

I actually like the Bucs OL.

Its young; they'll be around for awhile.

But I think the Saints have the better QB, better receiving options (if we include Shockey and Bush)....

Receivers are definitely an issue for us, since they're all either rookies, unknowns, or old as fuck. Jeff Garcia's an efficient enough QB though to get it done. I also like the Bucs running back picture, we got three guys (health pending) in Dunn, Cadillac and Graham who can flat-out produce in the right circumstances. Combine it with the best defense in the NFC.

Garcia's always been a pretty solid QB in a WCO.

I think the Saints finish 9-7, but hopefully better.

I don't see them finishing any better than 9-7 with that putrid defense.

Their defense took a blow with Ellis expected to miss 2-4 weeks today.
