Extra workload? Oh you mean how much work it was not to slag TJ in the media when he was being a punk. Of course Jose is ready, his been ready for two years. I really don't think there's many surprises left in Jose's game so we all know what we're getting and we're all happy. I guess the only question, is can he do it for a full season. Which is a valid but soon to be proven pointless.
Jose isn't going to play 48 minutes. Solomon and Ukic are capable backups, each giving you different looks and presumably improved defense over Jose. Jose's assists are going to be some of the easiest in the league. Expect him to keep the turnovers down and have close to 10 apg.
anyone catch in his interview how confident he is with the system and the players. you know he's been watching on satellite. big thing for ukic is defense. solomon seems like he gets after it on defense and that is exactly the internal competition you want to have. both guys are going to get their shots in our system and i expect both to hit at a pretty good rate. the assists are pretty basic - run pick and roll and kick to open shooters. defense has to be number 1 when it comes to backing up calderon. i can't wait to see how sam has these guys playing D. jose's defense is going to be an issue. how big depends on calderon himself and how the team reacts. seriously, if the suns can get it done (and they have) with Nash, we should be ok.
