http://lakers.freedomblogging.com/2008/10/02/livingston-piques-phils-interest/ Seems like nobody wants him... Might as well give him one of the last roster spots. I guess it won't hurt.
I wouldn't mind signing him. He'd give us someone that could push Farmar and make him give a shit for a change. Plus, as mentioned in the article, he IS the prototypical point guard for this system. He's got height, he's got tremendous court vision and he's also a solid playmaker. I'd personally love to see him get signed and maybe even give us a PG of the future, cause the kid is still loaded with potential.
I'd like to hear how intense his workouts have been for teams. I read he hasn't played 5 on 5 basketball yet, but he's been showcasing himself to several NBA teams. I wonder what these workouts entail and how far away is Livingston from actually being able to play at a high level? Let's assume he needs 3/4 of this season to rehab and get in basketball shape. What type of money is he looking for? If Livingston can get back to the level he was at pre-injury how much would he be worth? How come no one else he worked out for has signed him?
