Shouldnt it be considered as rape when a sober guy gets a girl drunk at a party or whatever and has sex with her even though her mind isn't thinking clearly? Maybe. Yes, she may have accepted the offer to have sex but she was not in clear state of mind, and the guy is fully aware of what he is doing-he is not drunk. This is scenario that occurs more often in college than anyone else(from my observation) yet it is acceptable. What are your thoughts on this?
The woman gives consent in a drunken state. The guy's goal from the beginning is to take advantage of her by getting her drunk in this scenario. I'm not saying it is rape like the way we normally think of it, I just want to see other opinions.
if the guy is sober, and gets her drunk with the sole purpose of taking advantage of her, thats pretty scummy. thats why i always get drunk too.
The point Im trying to make: date rape seems to be more acceptable. A lot of times, when people see their friends are about to do this, they dont do anything to stop yet they know their friend is about to "rape" someone. However, if it was a different scenario for rape, they would most likely do something about it. Seems hypocritical to me.

I think if you go to a party or somewhere with intent to get somebody drunk and have sex with them, it is rape. But sometimes shit just happens. If you're drinking, and a girl is drinking, and somehow you guys end up doing it I don't really think it's anyone's fault really... I dunno know though. Good topic.
It's not rape, because the girl consents. Most girls get drunk as a slut defense, so they have an excuse for having sex, but they really want it anyway. Not the case in all circumstances, but most of the time.
That is one of the stupidest comments I have ever heard. Most girls get drunk because they're at a party and want to have fun; just like most guys @ parties. If a guy goes to a party with the intentions of getting someone drunk to have sex with them, it is rape.
If she consents, it shouldn't be considered rape. If she cannot say, "no" when she is drunk, she should consider not drinking.
I thought Date Rape was when you use Drugs, E.g. Spiking her drink with Tranqs or some shit like that?
My stance on it is if you get the girl trashed, and basically whisk her off to do the deed, then it's very close to rape. However, if the girl is drunk but can still tell what she's going to do, then I'm all for it. Actually, I love it. Drink up!
