saw this earlier...........he might be overdoing it, but you gotta love a guys confidence to say that......more power to him.
Gotta love the attitude, but it ain't gonna happen. In order to get MVP, you historically have to be on a 50+ win team (no MVP has ever been on a sub-50 win team), that's not gonna happen with the Heat. He'll have to settle for going for the ROY.
^^^u don't think the Heat are a 50 win team???? On paper they appear to be one of the most talented teams in the east......
Not a chance. The only 50 win teams I see in the East are the Celtics, Cavs, Magic and Pistons, and even then, all of them might not win 50. And quite frankly, the Heat aren't on that level. Don't get me wrong now, I love the talent this team has. I love their core of Wade/Beasley/Marion. I also love Haslem and I loved the signing of Livingston. I think the talent to be a solid team is there, maybe a 37-42 win team and a 7 or 8 seed in the playoffs, but I don't see a team that had one of the worst records in the NBA last year being one of the best in the East this year, regardless of the fact that they added Beasley and finally have Wade healthy (for now).
What makes you think this? I realize Beasley has a sketchy past, but he's still a kid. Kid's make mistakes. I think he'll mature pretty quickly here soon enough and won't pull his childish antics anymore. And what makes you think he'll have troubles on the court? He seems pretty focused on basketball at all times when he's on the court and I don't know of any major injury issues he's had, so I don't see what the worry is there.
Well he has already been find 50k for his stupidity in the weed incident. He also sounds like a total space case whenever I heard him talk. I just get a feeling that he thinks he is above everything when he isnt
Again, he's a kid. His 19 years old. Teenagers make mistakes. What he did was a mistake, and owned up to it and admitted that. I think he learned his lesson and stupidity like that won't be happening anymore.
^ you totally could be right...I just think he might go the other way. There are always a few. We shall see.
As Moo said, the Heat aren't a 50 win team, not even close. I can definitely see them making the playoffs, but they're not contenders yet.
