I wonder the same thing. That defense of theirs has been damn good so far this year. Brandon Jacobs has been damn good too, and Eli, somewhere along the way, learned how to be an NFL quarterback finally. I think the latter is what's helped them the most, the fact that Eli has finally become competent under center, he's not making nearly as many mistakes as he has in previous seasons, so their defense isn't put in a hole nearly as frequently.

Cowboys game underway...this is a game Dallas, by all means, should win. The Bengals have looked more like the Bungles we got so used to seeing in the earlier part of this decade.

Great start by the 'Boys! Ellis gets an INT on the first play of the game, now lets turn that in to 6!

Uh let's add this up here:
-LT isn't healthy, but he is getting better each week.
-Miami had a full bye week to prepare for us.
-The game was in Miami where it was hot, humid, and rainy. The game was also played at 10 AM on the West coast, where SD is.
-Stephen Cooper just played his first game of the season. He is our defensive heart outside of Merriman.
-Gates, LT played 0 downs in the pre-season, and Rivers played limited minutes in the pre-season. The team is going to be rusty for the first 4 weeks or so, just like they were last year. It takes time for teams to gel and click together, look @ the Colts.

The Chargers have no reason at all to worry. And you claiming our defense has been atrocious shows how much Charger football you haven't watched this year. They've been bad at times, yes, but not atrocious. We have been a great 2nd half team, it's just getting it going in the first half that we have to fix. We will be fine, we will be in the playoffs, and we will overcome Denver for that AFC west title.

Tiki and Shockey going away is addition by subtraction. Don't get me wrong, they are both very good players, but their egos (especially Shockey) were more of a distraction. Eli would miss him on a pass, and he'd throw a little temper tantrum and come back to the huddle all pissed and yelling at him. It's not a coincidence that they went on that run as soon as he went out.

And they've got a lot of good players still on the defensive line...but I must admit, I never thought they would have been as good as they have been after losing both of those guys.

Well...at least we came out and ran the ball a couple times. Too bad we couldn't get 6 points. FG will have to do...and Nick Folk continues to be money.

3-0 Dallas...now lets see if the defense can do it again.

    Dallas up 3-0.

Why does Ellis bitch about being a "CB?" He clearly is our best CB!

    LOL....
