Well, our cap is in way better shape. But I mentioned in a thread in the Knicks forum I think that the Knicks will get their glory back someday, for sure. The Nets, you can't be sure about since we're not in a big market area like LA/NY, where teams will always find success. The move to Brooklyn (if it happens) could help, though.

If the Nets move to Brooklyn, it may be a few miles, but will make a world of difference.

Exactly my thoughts. The whole marketing aspect, the appeal to other players, the fans, the money, the ownership...everything in the front office will change, which will also change what happens on the court eventually.

Hope that is how Net fans feel at the end of this season.

Nets are definitely in better shape now, both in terms of younger, hungrier, and better players. The Knicks are still choking down the big salaries brought in my Thomas and Scott Layden. Next year, perhaps the Knicks will be able to *start* rebuilding. This means that the Knicks will likely be horrible for at least another 3-4 years. We certainly have a better future in the next few year given that we only have one humongous contract on an aging player: VC.

If anyone's up this early in the morning, they are showing NBA Hardwood Classics Nets vs. Knicks Christmas day, 1984.
