1.1-million viewers tuned in to watch The Ultimate Fighter: Nogueira vs. Mir on October 1st, which is the lowest rating for the show ever, according to MMA Payout. The first night in the house usually makes for good television as tense fighters try to act cool and usually wind up drinking too much and making asses of themselves. This formula might be getting tired or, more likely, Big Nog and Mir just aren't draws to the current casual UFC fan. Tonight's episode is being trumpeted as 'the craziest' so far but it remains to be seen if fans are interested.
Re: The Ultimate Fighter season eight television ratings suck man I hate that. I still enjoy the show to see what the new ppl are like and what guys are going to make it to the UFC. I want this show to do well and stay on TV. I guess there is just too much reality tv on and it does become formulaic
Re: The Ultimate Fighter season eight television ratings suck shows gets boring bunch of meat heads in one house most of them have no skill to begin with
Re: The Ultimate Fighter season eight television ratings suck I think a good deal is that Mir/Nog don't appeal to the casual fan.
Re: The Ultimate Fighter season eight television ratings suck I bet the rating from last night is up at least. They promoted it fairly well.
Re: The Ultimate Fighter season eight television ratings suck (update: keep Junie dru and THAT is why Junie didn't get the boot, he creates drama, which brings in the non-hardcore mma fans.
