Bill Burton from the Obama campaign puts a smackdown on Fox News this morning. I watched this earlier this morning after they dedicated their whole show to linking Obama to Bill Ayers. Fox is really trying hard to get this irrelevant story some traction.

I don't understand why you think it's irrelevant. And I mean that with honest curiosity, not confrontational condescension...

I don't know much about this story, it seems like zagsfan20 is the one giving it some traction

Because it reminds me of a game I used to play called 5 degrees to Kevin Bacon. Obama was on a board with Ayers, a charity board. Just because your on a board with someone doesn't mean you think in line with that other person's ideologies. People make it seem like they were hanging out and "palling around", when its not the case. Its grasping at straws for a fledgling campaign. If anybody is going to smear the other for hanging with shady characters I'd say McCain is the more guilty party. The Keating 5 scandal, which McCain was directly associated with and has to do with the same GOP deregulation policies that tax payers had to bailout.

I still think that 1/2 THE VIEWERS are democrats for some reason. I am a conservative and I don't watch that network, except for Red Eye.

There's no use getting upset about FOX News pandering to their viewers. Just watch MSNBC or CNN if you would prefer a network that panders to you.

Lol you know about Red Eye?

I watch Fox sometimes, I just avoid certain pundits (Hannity/Bill'O).

Red-eye is entertaining. One day I caught it, so I put it on a Tivo season pass.

You sir, are worse than hitlaaaaaaaaaah!

I love that show, I don't have Tivo though so I have to be old-school and stay up for it sometimes (my classes start late anyway and people bother me to stay up later :/ ).

See, I'm a very moderate person and have really enjoyed O'Reilly lately. It's refreshing to see him brake his stereotype and really bash the right-wing government the past week.

While he doesn't gush over one side or the other, he's fair by acknowledging the positives of each person's campaign and will point out their negatives. In fact it was last night (or the night before?) where he spent a good portion of his show criticizing McCain for his poor performance in the debate.

This whole "no spin zone" is starting to hold water!

Only when he's pissed at his party's candidate for being on the cusp of losing an election.

As he elaborated at length last night, he's pissed that trillions of dollars just disappeared since Denver, and neither of the candidates seem that visibly upset by it, nor are they really ball busting those who were responsible.

"your wife worked at a law firm with his wife twenty years ago." YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. So, this woman was good enough to be an attorney at a respected--probably very large--law firm, good enough to be considered (and possible granted) a partnership, but somehow Mrs. Obama should run a background check on all the employees of the firm she works for? You have GOT to be kidding me.

Hey, how about this woman's clients? Are they pallin' around with terrorists?

Why did the state bar grant her a license? You know there is a background check to ensure that you are fit to be a member of the bar and an officer of the court--ex-cons are excluded.

What a joke that argument is! It is outrageous. Can the people at Fox News tell us that they know the names of every other employee there? That they know their spouses? That they "hang around together?" That they know their history?

I know people who have an FBI file! Heck, I myself have an FBI file! I guess everyone who knows me is in big trouble. What a f***ing joke.
