ok nba 2k9 is great... the biggest difference i have seen so far is the game works on angles... meaning to get a step ahead of a guy to attack the LANE.... its all about the angle you get from ur defender... its intrigueing how they put this into a video game... i also love the fact that not everythin near the rim is a STANDING DUNK... like for example boone and lopez both lay it up if they are near the rim unless they can get a running start... its really great... also the double team isnt an automatic turnever with the "trap" u can actually pass out of it... and i love Yi.... he has a nice set shot in the game and devin harris can attack the lane and draw the fouls... and i love how you can foul really hard!!! lol put some guys on the floor. and now u have the options of takin a 20second time or a full... in the association with my 2 brothers im the nets... and i kept my team... i just do the development drills... CDR... is solid but he loses the ball a lot... i am 4-1 beatin everybody except the pistons... lol the pistons outscored me in the 4th quarter like 28-10.... lol.... they have nice plays... same plays they run in "real life"
man, for some reason when I had Yi on the Nets in 2K8, he was a MONSTER. doesn't seem like the case here, but Brook Lopez surely is. jeez, this guy's looking like Tim Duncan out there. I was having alot of fun playing as CDR before too, but Harris is usually my main guy. Still gotta learn how to run plays and all that stuff though.
OH soul driver... the plays are sick... they actually run right and if u run it over and over again the CPU cheats over but ur guy cuts short... its GREAT...
I downloaded sliders (the most popular one on there) and played my first association game. I lost 117-114 to the Wizards in OT on Allstar w/ 12 minute quarters. Yi had 40 points. He was awesome.
You can download sliders. Just go to "NBA Insider" and choose the option. Then download them and load them into your game. One of the options had like 10 times as many downloads as the rest and it seemed to keep the stats somewhat realistic for the one game I played.
I downloaded a popular game slider, well according to the amount of downloads. I'll check it out tomorrow, and see if it's good. It's just ridiculous when a team scores 70+ in two quarters.
I remember I shot 41% and the Wizards shot 37% in the first half. There were still statistical anomalies. Daniels had 24 assists. Yi had 40/12/6/4 (but some of that was me).
2K9 is pretty realistic but yet they still manage to screw up several things. I'm sure they tested the game out multiple times; why couldn't they fix some of it?
The sliders I downloaded seem to make the game better, but the Knicks still managed to get 71 pts in a half.
How's this for retarded; Yao just dominated me with 40 points and 32 REBOUNDS?! Are you freaking kidding me?! God, I'm enjoying this game, but some of this is bullshit.
I just played another game with Toth's sliders. I beat the Warriors 103-102. The stats were pretty realistic. I really, really like this game. They finally fixed the save system. For the first time ever I can save my damn coach settings! Hooray! I was subbing Hayes/Najera for offense/defense at the end of the game. I can get into real detail and it feels natural and like I'm actually in control. So far, so good!
That's the name of the sliders with the most downloads. It's up to like 700. Probably the one you got. 2K Share is great. I hate setting the sliders off my computer screen. It's a pain in the ass.
