Ya, Steelers won that game running the ball and playing defense. Steelers football. Plus a gadget play . But him in the prior 3 games was awesome. I understand what he was saying.
I say Big Ben. He's really been the most consistent of all of them, he's won a Super Bowl, and his game management is damn solid. Plus, his numbers haven't been too shabby.
I am not sure how important it is to compare Super Bowls in this discussion. QB is one position (although, a very important one). There's still 21 other regular starters to a team. Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl. Dan Marino didn't. The talent around you matters. Who's the best of the three? Dunno. Heading into this year, I think it went something like 1a Ben 1b Rivers 2. Manning Big dropoff 3. Losman (according to this poll of QBs listed) But Eli has continued to play at a level that he reached in the playoffs. And I am not sure there is a dropoff between Rivers, Roethlisberger, and Manning. Its also hard to gauge bec. of the offenses being played. Roethlisberger really isn't asked to throw it as much as Rivers (and certainly less than Manning) This year, they are all within about 15 attempts of each other (3 attempts/game). So the stats being put up are similar amongst each other this year (combined with Eli's progression). I'm not sure how I'd rate them. I'm not that knowledgeable to differentiate them without watching a lot more of them this season. But I suspect you'd be "ok" with any of the three leading your team.
I thought he was insanely overrated his first few years but the last two seasons hes made me eat crow hard. He really is a great QB and I'd give him the slight edge over Rivers, who is also a boss. Eli is clearly below both of them but he did actually sack up late in the POs last season.
