Let me check my grades... Economics - 92.11 Journalism - 100 (only 1 week left of this class too!) Russian - 98 Political Science - 95.625 Then I don't have a grade in one of my classes yet, as the entire grade comes from a presentation and final exam. What class was it? I've found all of the exams to be easier than high school tests, even though they cover more material than high school tests (high school tests = 1 chapter, college exams = 5-9 chapters [depending on the book]).
My first year and a half of college I did horribly, after the first semester. What University do you attend, if the class size is large talk to your TA, organize study groups. Studying along never did it for me, and there were too many distractions.
Damn i know how your feeling Dude. I started really well in 6th form (Ages 16-18) Getting Mainly A's and a few B's now its the other way round. Doesn't really matter for my University I'm choosing as i only need 2 B's and an A in Maths. Although the A in maths will probably kill me. I was predicted a C, got a B and i need to step it up again
I'm doing pretty well so far 3 A's and a C+, because I didn't really do any studying for that class. haha If I study constantly I could easily get A's through college.
I know how you feel dude. It happens quite often for me when I have to deal with Math or any type of Science. Very frustrating.
College has been fucking awesome so far for me. Haven't had any tests or quizzes yet, first one I know of is on the 23rd in World Sociology. I'm not too worried about it either (I'm never worried about shit which is part of my problem though). I've been keeping up with the reading fairly well, taking some decent notes and the powerpoints are all available on the website. I'm gonna keep my HS mentality and figure since I'm smarter than most of the others in the class I can coast by. Yes, I like to learn shit the hard way. Until I get knocked on my ass I'm gonna keep having a good time though. I've been here for almost 3 weeks and there's only been one day where I haven't been wasted/baked at some point.
Don't worry about your grades, enjoy the college experience the first few years and bust your ass when you start taking courses for your major.
I guess you're doing C3 now? Some of my friends doing single maths are doing that now. Have you applied via UCAS yet? I've already got an interview at Manchester (albeit my 5th choice and it's a bit of a trek)
Honestly, you will be fine. It is only your first round of tests in college. I think one of the big adjustments freshman year coming into college is learning how college tests are different from high school tests. Also, every teacher tests differently so the first test in a lot of classes is figuring out how they ask questions, etc. I made straight B's on all my first round of tests but will end up with A's in most of my classes now that I know what kind of questions they like to ask and how they like to do it.
Yeh It's a bitch. Also doing Mechanics soon which I am not looking forward to, I am in the Process of Applying ATM and should receive letters back pretty soonish.
