We obviously need a tight end. LJ Smith isn't getting it done. I've never been a big fan of his, and he is probably the worst "franchised" player in league history.

Tony Gonzalez, one of the top tight ends to ever play in the NFL wants a trade. Our division rivals, the Giants, are interested in Gonzalez but are only offering a 6th round pick. Chiefs want a 3rd rounder in return for one of the best tight ends in the history of the NFL. Eagles have a bunch of picks next year including 2 1st rounders. Each week, we are slowly slipping out of the NFC East picture. McNabb needs another target, our tight ends have been horrible. All signs lead to Tony Gonzalez right?

Right. But who knows with this front office. Who knows with Andy Reid. All I know is, if Gonzalez gets traded for a 3rd round pick, god forbid to a division rival, I will be EXTREMELY pissed off. This team needs help. It's slipping out of the playoff picture every single week. PLEASE do something and at least make a hard effort to get Gonzalez.

The Phillies are two wins away from reaching the World Series. The Sixers have added Elton Brand, and will probably be one of the top teams in the east next year. It's time for Philadelphia's most popular team, the Eagles, to answer back. It won't bold well for the Eagles to have the team at the bottom of the division again this year, especially with all the other Philadelphia teams making moves and getting better.

    Please Get Tony Gonzalez!!!

This might be off-topic but i don't believe the Sixers will be a top team in the east just because they have Brand. Good luck with Gonzalez though :) (And i'm rooting for the Phillies)

Top team or not, it doesn't matter. They've improved from last year and are pretty much locks to make the playoffs. These aren't the Sixers from years ago finishing with a .500 record, missing the playoffs, and going to the lottery.

These aren't the Phillies from years ago that wouldn't even sniff the playoffs. They're two games away from the World Series.

Knowing Philly fans, they're all desperate for a championship. With the Sixers and Phillies doing everything they can to take the next step to win a championship, it sure as hell wouldn't bode well with the fans if the Eagles don't make the playoffs and finish last in the division yet again.

Philly fans used to all rally around the Eagles because they were the best team in the city, with the most hope of winning a championship. Things have changed...

That's how difficult the division has gotten. Teams might be looking to make a deal just so their rival won't get that player.

I don;t think a team would make a deal to prevent a division rival from doing that.

Rather, I think Philly would consider it because it gives the Eagles a good, reliable, experienced option for McNabb. Westbrook (when he is back), Gonzalez, Jackson, Curtis... solid core.

I don't know how reliable PFT is, but apparently they're reporting the Eagles, along with several other teams have made inquiries. I wouldn't look too much into that, because knowing the Eagles, they probably just offered a seventh round pick. But we need Gonzalez!!!
