There's no TV from either team -- just radio.

I can't get the radio to work either. I'm using ESPN gamecast for the game now. I see Sergio is shooting bad today. He is 0-4 FT and 2-6 FG. I hate to see him shot bad after shooting so good this year.

Man this is an ugly game 38-35 at half with Blazers leading.

Yeah, this is pretty annoying, but it sounds like Batum & Sergio are playing very well, and Oden isn't doing much.

Batum sure sounds like he is having another good game. I thought he would play a lot of time in D league but maybe he will get some good playing time until webster comes back.

Looks like Shavlik Randolph is back to playing like Shavlik Randolph.

Batum was everywhere today! Greg was getting triple teamed every time he touched the rock. With no other offensive threats out there they just sagged on him. He struggled, but this is his time to learn.

    Game report:

    The Good:

Batum: Wow, this guy will see minutes this year. Amazing blocks, even on Kirilenko. Great hustle. Solid handle, above average vision. And, he didn't need anything called for him.

Randolph: I don't know what his line looked like, but this guy is everything McBob should have been. He has a great handle and body control for a PF. He's always around the ball on both ends. Great body control around the basket.

Outlaw: had his shot back on and made some nice plays. Looked good, but I can now see the future and it speaks French.

    So-So:

Sergio: not great, but did some nice things on the court:

Oden: looked strong, but no stamina and no touch around the rim. Amazing a guy who shoots free throws like he does can't touch in a three to five foot shot.

    The Bad:

Bayless: other than some nice D on Deron, he looked pretty bad. He pounds the ball every time down. It will be a while before he quickens up his reactions. Sergio is clearly above him on the PG chart.

    The Ugly:

Diogu: I predict that Batum will see more minutes this year than Diogu. Randolph may even see more minutes. He plays no defense. He can't score in the middle against taller players. He doesn't even look like he belongs on the team.

Out of the NBA: Luke & Tatum. Sorry guys

    Went to the game today.

Batum looked great. Better than his stat line. Very exciting player, seems to play smart. I'm a big-Batum fan now. I hope he doesn't sit on his Batum all season.

Randolph reminds me a lot of Victor. And I liked Victor. But I'll be surprised if he makes the team.

Oden had one nice dunk, otherwise he looked lost. He looked like a long-term project today.

Bayless looked awful. Shooting airballs and not doing anything useful.

Diogu looked fat and slow. Zbo without the drive for stats.

Luke Jackson needs to be cut, asap.

Who else? Joel was kind of ok-ish. Outlaw had flashes of goodness, but it wasn't a great game for him. Sergio made some great plays and an equal number of stupid mistakes.

Does anyone else think it's a coincidence that we're 2-0 with Roy and 0-2 without Roy?

One of the problems for Oden was that he had nobody who could get him the ball. Sergio and Bayless have no business playing in the game at the same time as Oden until they can figure this out. Batum had no problem getting the ball inside.

Diogu looked like a very poor man's version of Zach. I would reather keep Shavlik and Hill.

Luke Jackson needs to find a new career.

I'm out of the loop. Why didn't Aldridge and Roy play today?

I didn't see anything official. I think they are just giving them extra rest. It did seem kind of odd though considering they get the next week off. Maybe Nate figured he would rather have them practice next week than play in a game where they might get injured (knowing Utah would play full speed).

Maybe also it was the last chance for the non-guaranteed guys to get time.

For what it's worth Roy and Aldridge were out on the court by themselves (well, plus several ball boys) shooting an hour before the game. Aldridge was shooting 3's for quite a while and made a high percentage of them.

Well, I'd like to think we could still win without Roy... but losing Roy and Aldridge last night was pretty much a death blow.

KP's quotes from the Golden State game on why Roy wasn't playing (not verbatim)...

"Preseason isn't about Brandon, it's about other guys learning the NBA game and whats aloud officiating wise" and "Brandon has already earned a roster spot"

I agree with him. Our key guys have nothing to prove from going out there against the other teams scrubs. Let them play the last 2 together and they'll be fine.
