We gave up a 4th rounder, that Tenn got to keep, assuming he got reinstated it. That 4th rounder was in last year's draft. Pacman got reinstated, so they didn't owe us a 4th rounder. We were supposed to give up a 6th rounder this year too, if he didn't get suspended. He just did. We get to keep that 6th rounder. Tenn also now owes us a 5th rounder because Pacman is suspended. Essentially.... to "rent" Pacman for the first 6 games, we gave up a 4th rounder in 07 and received a 5th in 09 and Pacman's play for 6 games. Kudos to Jerry. He took a risk. And covered his ass. Sometimes it doesn't work out. This costs us nothing, really.
DMN is saying we aren't cutting Pacman. Appeal coming, perhaps? Hang on to your hats boys... this is just getting started.
I don't see why we'd cut him, especially if it's only a four game suspension. Even though he can't play now, he'll be a help when he's able to return. Granted this all assumes that suspension is just the aforementioned four games. Personally, as I previously mentioned, this definitely deserves an appeal. To me, four games for this is a crock of shit. It was horseplay that went a little too far, that was it. There was no police report filed and no lawsuits on either side, so I see no reason whatsoever to suspend him for four games or more.
The suspension is more than justified, but I also don't see the point of cutting him. This team is currently in limbo over the next month with Felix and Romo out, along with Spencer, and Newman. When a lot of these people come back, we may get Pacman back too.
