JVG is a hell of a commentator and a good guy. Rockets fans should never forget that he took a 100K fine from the league (which was total bullshit, btw) in support of the team. No one cared more or worked harder for the Rockets than he did as head coach.

    I'm happy for him.

I love JVG. It seemed like he really connected with the players on this team in a special way.

Kinda miss him cause Rick isn't talkative at all.

I wish JVG would be a part of the Rockets again, as much as I dislike his offensive schemes as a head coach. He really really really puts his heart into the Rockets when he was there. He's so passionate when he gets pissed in the interviews that sometimes I'm like "damn dude, it's just a game." hahah gotta love this guy!

Also like the quote from Yao. The only people who knows how to stop him are the refs. That and injuries.

Man if this were like football, Rick would be the offensive coordinator and JVG would be our defensive coordinator.....stop us now!

He should come back to the Rockets as an assistant coach on defense. Doubt he'd take anything less than a head coaching job though. Or he could replace Drexler haha :D

5 year deal? Damn, I was hoping he'd make his way back to the coaching ranks. I love JVG as a commentator as well, he has a great sense of humor and can break down a game in laymen terms, which is really tough to do.

Shapecity, before I read your sig, I thought for a moment there that your avatar was Reece Gaines.

I'd actually be interested in listening to JVG teaming up with Clyde, instead of replacing him. I think JVG would straight up call him out..

Clyde: What a nice dish to Hayes from Alston!
Clyde: Rafer is one of the top PG's in the league..
    JVG:......What the hell?!?!

lol as frank as JVG is, that's something I don't think he'd disagree on. Remember he's a Rafer lover!

Yeah, I recall JVG saying that Rafer was playing like a top 5 PG in one of his ABC telecasts. But to be fair, I believe he was also high on crack at the time.

Hmm I vaguely remember this event. I think he was also pretty high on David Wesley, no? I think Jeff just has a bad judgment on guards haha

But he's a hell of a lot more interesting than Clyde and Bullard. Is Bullard still doing the away-games?
