Honestly guys (And this is to all of you), this stuff happens almost every other day of games in the NBA. Do we fans look at this in a biased view? Of course we do, regardless of whether we are wrong or right. Do we defend our players? Of course we do, otherwise we wouldn't be fans. But can we also not talk about this in a civilised manner? Yes. Honestly, it happened, and we move on. I already gave my opinion that from what I saw (Video only, I can't watch the game from CA) that Walker did shove T-Mac, but it was a light shove. T-Mac should've kept his cool, it is preseason, get the fuck over it. Now if he punched T-Mac, different story, or hit him with malicious intent, but he didn't. Now can we move on with preseason. I'm just happy that Ron didn't get involved. THAT would've been serious.
well then you are just absolutely clueless. nothing that happened was really bad or anything and once it's over it doesn't even matter at all, but it's hilarious that you are trying to play bill walker as some kind of victim and say that his actions were unintentional.
Wow what's there to argue? I hope we can all agree that Bill Walker is an asshole that is looking for fights. Jacoby_Ellsbury I don't know what you're trying to prove, but Bill Walker is a cheap dirty player who is looking to start something. I don't care what happened between him and T-Mac. But if you fight your own teammate in practice and try to start TWO different fights in PRE-SEASON, then you have to be a nutcase. What are you trying to prove afterall?
Why does that matter? Is the replay obscuring something that you saw at the game? I see it, clear as day in the replay: he is shoving McGrady away from him on the drive. That's not simply his momentum carrying him into McGrady. He literally pushes the defender away from him. That's an illegal play, obviously, but the refs didn't see it. So, you have this kid playing rough on a previous possession, showing attitude in slapping the ball away after a loose ball foul, then he gets away with an obvious offensive foul on a drive. In the heat of the moment, I can understand why McGrady would lose his cool and give him a little shove. I'm not saying McGrady was right to do that, but I get it why in that instance he would commit that flagrant. And I'm not even that shocked that Wright would be angry about that. He just got shoved to ground -- no player would just get up and walk away like nothing happened. But if you take the game as whole and observe Wright's behavior, he was asking for it. And if you look at what he's done in previous games, and just his general attitude, he has problems. He's going to get into a lot of fights if he ever sees consistent minutes. For a young player to be acting that way isn't good for the league's image, and as a fan I'm disappointed that the Celtics apparently aren't taking that behavior seriously. There's a difference between showing toughness and just being a flat out punk.
Hahaha you're funny. You're in a Houston Rockets forum! What on earth do you expect? For Rockets fans to take your BS sitting down? Haha. Durvasa's last line hit the spot. Anyway Mr. Celtic man, we all have our own personal opinions and biases towards our favorite teams, but please don't go into the other team's forum shouting 'oh I'm so proud of Bill Walker for standing up to the Holy T-mac!' and expect us to take your BS. Accept reality and in your head, maybe you can go on believing that Bill Walker is all righteous and won't take shit from anybody but please don't force your blind love on us. We're in this certain forum for a reason.
In fairness, some Rockets fans (including myself) were arguing in the Celtics forum as well. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, as long as it doesn't get too heated and we leave out the personal attacks.
Exactly. Let's not let this be personal. These forums are designed for inter-community discussion and contact. We encourage all our posters to post everywhere and anywhere they want. There's a lot of discussion everywhere and each forum could benefit from any one posters knowledge and input.
C'mon guys, I never said that he didn't have the right to post here. I got irritated by the fact that it's so clear that their man started it all, and they keep insisting on glorifying him. The part about me telling him that it's a Rockets forum is in response to this. I never said anything about him not having the right to post here. I just wanted to make it clear that he can't expect us to just take whatever he's saying and not fight for our players because as a matter of fact, its a Rockets forum. Anyway I don't post much after the years that I've been a member here, its just that this one got on my nerves somehow.
I think that's reasonable. Again, we shouldn't get too heated or insulting, but I think everyone should have a little extra license to passionately argue in favor of their players within their team's forum.
Wasn't trying to scold you, I just went on a little tangent lol But you better start posting more once season starts!
Bill Walker clearly pushed off on TMac during his drive and put a little extra into it. It wasn't terrible since he didn't hit TMac above the shoulders, but I didn't mind the retaliation by TMac either. Based on the injury history of these two they're lucky they both didn't dislocate something.
Guys, guys, I can clear this up. I was on the Celtics bench when it all went down, so I had the perfect angle. Akeem pushed Walker into T-Mac.
