you guys been talking about trading partners minnesota is the most logical check out this trade.

    http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=4782326

here we get back twin and rashad mc cants for swift and boone. i wouldn't do this trade until brook is full time ready with the center's job.

this trade give's us a back up for lopez and a explosive wing player off the bench.

and minnesota recieves 2 legit big men to help out jefferson and love. a win win.

So we get a back up for Lopez...while we have a back up in Boone.

We pick up McCants, lose Boone, gain Twin for Swift (both are expiring).

If you give up Boone, you have to resign Twin (or gain another center in FA) just to pick up a young SG when we just got impressed with CDR.

    No thanks.

so twin for swift is a wash. mccants for boone i think we get the better of the deal. plus you know carter is not going to be here past this trading deadline if the nets are a lottery team. boom you have his replacement.

and you can resign twin to a more modest contract to back up lopez.

I don't think Minny gives up McCants. They need shooters to give Jefferson room to work.

Plus I like the prospect of Boone backing up Lopez long term. He's perfect for the role of 1st big off the bench, which is pretty valuable. Especially the way bigs pick up fouls.

I wouldn't mind trading Swift for Collins straight up (again). I think as a 3rd string center that can help some of the bigs with how to defend certain players, and about the defensive rotations, he would be great. Brings more to the table as a 3rd string center than Swift does.

Collins got 16 mpg for Nets last season, in a very weak frontcourt. And, of course, Collins is an intelligent player and could possibly teach the Nets bigs a trick or two.

But, of course, I'm sure Swift can teach the kids more, as he's shown he has an intricate knowledge of the NBA game.

I would never ever want Collins back on this team, even for free.

    You are crazy.

I would take him for free. Collins for free would be great. Collins wouldnt get as much playing time and he can definitely help the young guys in many ways.

Please... Frank knows the drill this season with the young guys. He also knows what he wants to do with the offense and he would barely ever use Collins now.

Only time Collins would get on the court is if there are injuries or no one else is having any luck slowing down a player like Dwight Howard or Shaq.

I would do that deal...and anyone who knows me knows I'm a big time Boone fan...but realistically in a dribble drive offense the PF position is suited to players such as Yi and Ryan Anderson meaning the at the 5 Brook and Swat would be fine at Center with Collins seeing limited time. McCants is a talented player and would give us better depth at SG and allow Vince to transition more to small forward where he's better served at this stage of his career anyway. Not gonna happen...but I wouldn't say no to the deal.

I wouldnt do this trade. McCants is alrite but we already have VC and CDR so i dont see no PT for him over here. Boone and Swift for Collins isnt a fair trade for the Nets either. this trade is pointless
