    I'm certainly not as fond of Cashman as you guys are (or at least Poet).

    Any man who passes on Beltran and than Santana should have gotten passed over on a contract.

    Really? They did throw 14 a year the following season at Damon... 1 million less than Beltran.

    This is what I mean by money has no factor in the Yankee-Universe, but it's an excuse Cashman will use to get his way.

    We needed a lead-off man, since Torre refused to put Jeter in the one hole.

    Kevin Brown's putrid contract was also taken off the books.
