Cinco_de_Bozo and a few other mods on BBF basically ran many of us out of there. You treat your customer base like crap and they leave. We tried to tell them this, but apparently they didn't care, so a lot of people left after the whole "Off-Topic" fiasco at BBF. Now they can all moderate each other since most people have bailed.
Welcome to everyone I might have missed. It seems we are adding more people by the minute. I remember at the middle of last year we would have 100+ maybe closer to 200 or over posting on BBF. It is looking like we might get that many over here at the rate people are joining.
Finally the MASS exodus is happening. Been waiting for this. What a big day! I love it! Let's get all our Blazermaniacs back on ONE board!
kind of amazing how they are acting like 90% of the active posters leaving the biggest and most active team forum they have isn't a problem..... there are a lot of guests looking there still but i guess thats people like me who have logged out for good just taking a look. its like a slow motion car crash but its almost done =]
I'll claim my 2/15ths of the credit. But yeah, it's nice there's still a strong community and I'm impressed how everyone has stuck together and made this site big so fast.
I never posted much at bbf, but read the site every day for years, after I joined during the mass espn board exodus. But, the last few days..... I haven't been doing too much reading. Sure, I have been visiting the site, but tis hard to read when there is nothing written. So, alas, I did a little search and here I am as well. Are crandc and maris here yet? They were always up there on my list. Maybe I will post more frequently...........but....hmm......probably not. Cheers! prunetang
its always been about the people m8 and we stick together! if you wanna see how BBF is gonna look for Blazer talk, just check out fanhome.com these days lol IMO its definitely in a forums benefit to have us (albeit often just existing in our own little world...) than try to control, shape and manipulate us like some at BBF wanted to do AND thank fuckin god i dont have to look at that horrible orange court background anymore
That's how I found this place. I google "s2 blazers forum" and here I am. I seldom read the off subject forum and left that to other mods because I'm just interested in chatting about the Blazers so I had no clue what was going on until a lot of posters were gone. I tried to figure out what was up and found a thread that mention there was a problem with a political thread and it being moved and so forth. I also seen that some weren't to happy with us mods to say the least. I've always tried to be fair and go by the rules as best I can. I did see a couple posts by mods in the thread I mention that pissed me off and they weren't even directed at me. But hey, what do you expect from a Laker mod? At any rate, I'm going to continue to moderate at the other site, which should be a lot easier now, as long as they keep me as a mod. But, hey, the gangs all here so I'd like to check in and post here too if I'm welcome to. Btw, I've seen Barfo, is Nightfly here too? I thought this rule was funny, considering they are using us a example! 5. Trash talk is allowed. It's one thing to call Portland's NBA team the "Jailblazers" and another to call their fans idiots. The former is allowed, the latter is not.

They are not doing that. Advertisers would be able to figure that out. They are search engine spider bots... indexing the posts. If you check the Nets and Bulls forum, they still have a high number of 'guests' due to the bots searching/indexing all the content. -Petey
