Reading between the lines it sounds like Winters would prefer to see Gasol or Bynum come off the bench with Odom starting at PF and Ariza at SF.

I actually liked Bynum coming off the bench last season running with the bench mob. His presence on the court really elevated those guys and when he went down with an injury the bench's effectiveness took a turn for the worse.

However, at the end of games I want Odom on the bench with our two bigs on the court, Ariza, Kobe & Farmar.

Well the Bynum/Gasol lineup has looked kinda clumsy out there, you can tell they don't have much chemistry. But I think if we just stick with it, they'll get familiar with each other sooner or later. This wasn't going to be a walk in the park. The Bynum/Gasol duo was going to take time, and I hope they're not going to abandon it.

I just don't like Gasol being our center for another whole season.

That and as well as Andrew played off the bench, I think we all expected him to be a starter and after this year he will be paid as much. Trevor has been great and is very dependable...Lamar is very clumsy-like when the pressure is put on him to have to perform.

I'm totally okay with Bynum coming off the bench. I'm not worried that he and Pau won't be able to adjust, I'm more worried that someone that should be getting more touches will be left getting fewer than they deserve. Either way you cut it, with Pau/Kobe/Bynum plus our two other starters, you can only conceivably get the most out of two players. In the starting line-up, I'd much rather that be Kobe and Pau. Bynum can take over with the second unit and I get the feeling he has more rapport with those younger guys to begin with.
