Ok, here we go with post growth in the past 24 hours (so you math types can more accurately determine when we grab the #1 spot). The numbers of posts in roughly the past 24 hours (give or take a half hour). 1. Blazers 1,070 2. Nets 327 3. Lakers 52 4. Rockets 9 5. Raptors 7 6. Warriors 6 7. Bobcats 4 7. T'Wolves 4 9. When basketball season starts, the difference will tighten. Many fanbases don't talk basketball much in the off-season. And once the election is over, our political discussions will die out a lot.
The Blazers are up-and-coming and so are the Blazer fans. We have always been a talkative group and as it is just fairly recently that many of us have migrated to this board, we wonder where we stack in the group. Call us competitive, call us yakky, but most of all, call us Blazer fans! Gramps...
Very well said. I think you nailed it. (not to mention, that stupid little brother syndrome we have due to our neighbors to the north.)
if we're not first by the ASB, we'll definitely be second. But with everyone coming over here, there's a good chance we'll be the top board in a few months, which is crazy.
Probably not... unless we get a trade rumor with some real legs under it going again. We'll get past the Lakers before the break, though.
lets update this post by Gramps originally from October 16th.... 1. Nets - 114,390 [new posts since Oct 16 = 17,289] [overall lead on us = 36,896 posts] 2. Lakers - 89,716 [new posts since Oct 16th = 4,988] [overall lead on us = 12,222 posts] 3. Blazers - 77,494 [new posts since Oct 16th = 55,695] 4+ who cares... so in wrap up, we're posting at about 3x the rate of the Nets forum and 11x the rate of the Lakers forum. so the same rough time period from the 16th to now again we should be in the lead
