One of my favorite players. He's such a nice guy and he sure was fun to watch!

Hopefully he stays healthy and lives a long time.

Maybe a dumb question... but is he not going to be able to play now?

most definitely not. He's had to deal with tons of injuries already. Poor guy, I hate to hear when things like this happen to good guys.

That sucks but modern medicine can do some wicked stuff (except kill this MRSA thing it seems)

Maybe he will come back and be better, he probably has bad feet anyway because of his size.

I hope the guy gets well, I would cast him in movies if I were in Hollywood. He would make an awesome Bond villain.

Such a sad story, I was really looking forward to watching him play this year.

He's lacking a foot. If he comes back and plays then that is the ultimate testament to the slogan you can't teach height. He was too slow for the NBA as it was. It will take him a lot longer to hop down the court on one leg.

But seriously...I feel bad for the guy. It just reminds you how fragile life is and how easily we take simple things for granted.

That was my point. I have bad feet and they slow me worse than a bad knee ever did. I have Achilles tendonitis in both feet.

Have you seen those replacement legs that look like a curved leaf spring? Awesome stuff.

My uncle has a leg that he tried to cut off with a chain saw (accidentally)

This was years ago and he still begs the doctors to amputate the whole thing because it causes him so much pain. They won't because they say it is a viable limb. Assholes.
