Yes, he is good. And he is jolly. And he certainly can fly! But can he play B-ball?

As for Hill vs. Randolph. Yes, Hill is big and he serves quite well as a human punching bag for Greg in practice. But if Greg or Joel got injured during the season, would you really want to put Hill in a regular season game? Does he have the hands, the speed, the footwork/moves, the timing, or the vision of a first-rate center that can go toe-to-toe against the starting centers of other teams and not get eaten alive? Randolph may be 2 inches shorter and a PF, but I consider him a much better player. I think he is even a better player than Diogu.
My first choice would be to cut Diogu and keep both Hill and Randolph. But if that can't be done, and the choice for the #15 Roster slot is between Hill and Randolph; then I think Randolph should be kept because he is the more valuable player - both talent-wise and trade-wise.

I thought Hill had the inside edge before Joel got injured anyways. Hill is a good defensive center and provides a good challenge for our offense in half court sets in practice. It seems pretty dumb to keep an extra guy just as practice fodder, but it would be the first time. His contract doesn't have to be guaranteed and we could always cut him if we have to make room for a trade.

I want Ike gone, too much of a black hole. But due to his contract I think he makes it. I see him being thrown in if we make a trade to even out the $$$'s.

Hm. Joel was a lottery pick for a reason... the guy was a good prospect in high school and then coming out early from MN.

Hill has never been and remains as something well short of a decent prospect, in my opinion.

My reasons for wanting to keep Hill surround potential injury and fouls concerns.

Hill is kind of an underwhelming rebounder, at least he was in summer league, and his college rebounding numbers were nothing special either; the dude is a shot blocker and has good length but I don't see him doing much in the league (with us or any other team).

It's funny or not so funny, how under appreciated Pryz is around here. We now have the best Backup center in the NBA. A lot of team would love to have Joel on their roster.
