Sure there was. Mine was said in the spirit of fun, as I assumed the insults about people from Portland were meant. Do you mean that: and were meant seriously? If so, I'd not have posted here. No point posting on a forum that accepts sincere bigotry. But, as I said, I assumed such comments were made (and accepted by the rest of you) in a good-natured, tongue-in-cheek manner, which is how I meant my comment (which was in a response to Claud attempting to insult me). You know what's really cool? There are at least 5 threads made on your forum about how "You are closing in on the Nets board post count." That is just rad.

One or two posters don't represent the entire board. I like Mr. Montross; I consider him a friend (as far as one can make "friends" on an anonymous internet bulletin board; but let's face facts: He's our resident grump.

Hey this should be a good thing between Blazer fans and Nets fans on this board. Net fans have been here a while, posted, built up a solid community. A group of Blazer fans recently jump on to the site and create some activity. I figure I get caught up on the esatern conference by coming to this board and you all can surf/post on the Blazer board for good western conference talk. Maybe another big gorup from another team comes into the picture. There will be some bantering, but all in good fun and towards the goal of keeping this site lively. Sure there are plenty of things to break out about the cities and organization from each side . . . and to a point it is fun. Heck even with montross . . . never took the player seriously why would you take the poster seriously. : ) Anyways I look forward to some lively chat and smack if need be . . . but it's all good.
Montross also hates Vince Carter and thinks Buck Williams is the best Net ever. It's all very, very confusing. And Claud calls soccer "football". Quite the two backwards fellows, I say.
I have no problem at all with Blazer fans, matter fact I would say Portland and New Orleans are my two favorite teams from the west. What annoyed me was that you came here, told us you were going to beat us at a silly competition, "insulted" us by saying we needed your help so that we have a chance, and then can't take any heat when I tell you what I think of this entire competition. That is all.
