You may remember that last season the first TWELVE of the games that the Blazers played in realy life went EXACTLY like the first twelve games went on my Playstation.

Soooo..... I thought you might want to know how the games are going on my Playstation THIS year so far.

    1-6.

The one win was against the Suns but Steve Nash got hurt in the first quarter. I trailed by 20 and then ended up winning by 16.

I think it's possible that 1-6 could happen to the real Blazers too. FOUR rookies may play significant minutes. Our schedule is tough. And I'm not sure those Timberwolves games are gimmes. They're better this year.

    Thoughts?

    Go Blazers

2k9 has some severe deficiencies in this.

For one, Rudy is a "role player" who gets "spot minutes". It also has Bayless starting at PG, and Blake as a "role player" mentoring the young guys on the squad. I've simmed the first season a couple of times, and Oden generally averages 6-8 points per game over the season.

If we go 1-6, I'll give you credit. I just don't think 2k9 has the drop on us this year.

You know you can change your role players and mentors right? You can make them whatever you want. You knew that, right? This game is completely customizable.

Yeah, dump that season, start a new one, and put the difficulty to noob or something so you can start off 15-0.

I drafted Rudy in my season and he starts alongside Dirk, Rashard Lewis, Ginobili, and Alston (Fantasy draft, small lineup, fast breaking, and shooting :D).

I trained Rudy in three point shooting before any games, and in our first game he scored 8pts on 2 threes and a dunk. In the 2nd game, he scored 16 on 4 threes and 2 dunks (All this with a REALLY strong FG%). Given minutes, he is awesome lol.

I won another game! I had lost one since I last post so now we're 2-7. JOEL was Player of the Game. That (we have yet to win at home). We won 171-131 so the reserves were in a lot and people found Joel under the basket. He got 28 & 8.

The other big development in the season is Ike Diogu. In one of the games in which I was being blown out, I put Diogu in and he scored 12 points on 6 of 6 shooting in the 4th quarter. Impressed, I decided to start giving him Frye's minutes. It took him a couple of games to adjust but now he has scored 20+ in each of the last two games. He scores at will in the post. Will he do this for the real Blazers???

Oh, one other thing. Roy only scored 6 points in the game. Crazy. He's my top scorer, averaging 30 ppg. He's been carrying the team and then he scored only 6 pts and we won by 40. Go figure. Everyone shared the ball, minutes. Diogu actually played the most minutes of everyone.

I'm 2-1 so far, losing @ Phoenix, but Roy has a strained abdominal and is out 1-2 weeks.
