Sure doesn't sound very good. McCain seems to have been a cad who treated his ex-wife badly. I'd still rank him behind Bill Clinton, who confessed to Monica Lewinsky that he had slept with "hundreds" of women during his marriage to Hillary. And Clinton's rakish behavior never seems to bother liberals who bash McCain.
But would you rank him behind Obama, who by all accounts is a monogamous, devoted family man? Family values, man, family values. barfo
Are you talking about the same Barack Obama who voted to kill babies who somehow managed to survive botched abortions? Is that the "family values" you're talking about?
Was that a review of how he cheated on his wife again and again after he came home from Vietnam? The line I heard from him was that his wife needed him to act like he's 40 and he acted like he was 25. It's not like he's proud of what he did. In fact, I've heard him say time and time again that the dissolution of his first marriage is entirely his fault.
This is the kind of thing that makes me sick. As a person who would vote for McCain if forced to choose between the two, this is what bothers me. The guy was a scumbag. I would call myself one if I did that stuff. What I am saying is that why can't we get some people with morals to run in this country? Why does everyone have to flip flop? WHY WHY WHY WHY? I saw a video of Cindy McCain that they played at the convention and she is the only one of the people involved in this race that I respect. I bet you could find skeletons in her closet too, but please don't post anything. Please?
This stuff doesn't matter. Did McCain know terrorists or pornographers when he was 8? Was he attending a madrassa when he was 9? This is the sort of thing that morally disqualifies you from the presidency. Not how you treat the mother of your three children.
I don't vote for Pope, I vote for President. The guy I wanted has been married three times and cheated on his wife for at least the first two. I voted for Bill Clinton, knowing he banged every chubby Daisy Duke wannabe in Arkansas.
That retort by Obama was ridiculous. I attended a cocktail party where Robert Byrd was also in the 1990s. He was working the room and came up to the group to which I was speaking. I excused myself because I refused to shake the hand of a former KKK member. Was I born in the early 40s? Not even close. But decisions you make in your past point to the person you are. When you're a guy like Bill Ayres who escaped prison by a technicality and who hasn't renounced his viewpoints, Barack Obama deserves to be taken to task (as does anyone else) who deals with this piece of human garbage. It doesn't matter that he did these acts when Sen. Obama was eight. It matters that Sen. Obama as an adult knew who he was and what he was and still sought both his counsel and support. That's absolutely shameful.
Bill Ayers also won Humanitarian Of The Year in Chicago. It's possible that he's not the same person who did the bombings.
