What is in my attic? Last night I heard the sound of gnawing coming through the central air vent. When I poked my head up, I heard something rustling around in the corner. The attic is cramped and filled with insulation, so it is difficult to wander around up there, and impossible to look around the attic from the hatch itself. Please vote! Answer will be provided after the exterminator arrives.
More info needed: details on the type of construction (e.g., off grade, slab), age of home, roof venting. BTW, I think this thread is hilarious, especially the request for an "all of the above" option. You might want to add "bat(s)" as an option, although if there was much flying going on, you would probably know by now. We had them in our chimney once. Quite a sight when they were "coaxed" to fly out.
Bats are possible, but it doesn't really sound like it. The house was built in 2004. I can't really help you with the type of construction. Two story, terra cotta tile roof.
Are we going to get an answer? Or did you not call the exterminator yet? Cause you might have a whole family of whatever it is up there soon! -Petey
