Giants interested in Tony Gonzalez?

    I had heard about the Sinorice rumours although I didn't know they were connected to Gonzalez. For what its worth, he was a healthy scratch last night.

    Garafalo's saying the Giants have a mild interest in Gonzalez at best.

    I'm glad it didn;t happen, we have some pretty solid chemistry, especially blocking wise, I'm not sure if Gonzales would have fit in.

    I don't know man. I think Gonzalez definitely would've fit in here. He's a well-respected figure around the league and a true class act. With some of our locker room fixtures gone (Strahan, Umenyiora), I think he would've been a great leader to add.

    Looking back though, I think Reese had our long-term future in mind in rejecting the deal. It looks like he was adamant about not giving up a first day pick on a luxury addition. He certainly would've added another dimension to our offense, but our offense isn't lacking in talent right now. Not to mention, extensions for Brandon Jacobs and Eli Manning are looming.
