My team is mainly built around my great playmakers, Larry Bird and John Stockton, with another great in Mark Jackson coming off the bench. Then in my SG & PF spots, I found some of the best finishers/shooters of all-time with The Iceman, Richmond, Kemp, and C-Webb, leaving Bird and Stockton plenty of people to pass to. Because all my other positions have such offensive talent, I figured having garbagemen bigs would be my best option. Mutumbo and Eaton are both elite shotblockers with their immense size and lank, while also being pretty great rebounders. There are also two great perimeter defenders in Jerry Sloan and Raja Bell, that are energy guys, that can come off my bench and shut off someone's water by playing physical D. My roster has a bunch of great players that all have the same roles that which made them great, and I don't expect them to do something they didn't do back in their time, which would create great chemistry IMO.

As for the match-up against, The Dream's Team, it's a pretty good set-up for a great series. My roster is set-up, that is can slow down Hakeem with Mutumbo and Eaton that don't give up a size advantage on Hakeem, and also are great post defensive players. Even though on the offensive they're not great scorers, they also don't allow Hakeem to roam the paint to block shots because they can hit the offensive boards and get putbacks, which would actually make them a much bigger factor than otherwise. McAdoo was a good scorer in his time but he was a mass volume shooter, and with is team, I'm not sure if he'll be the same player effective player on offense. On defense, he'll also go against the high energy Shawn Kemp or athletic Chris Webber that will give him fits, also not allowing him to try to roam for block shots. His best perimeter defenders, Dumars and Bowen, wouldn't be that big of a factor in this series either IMO. There are very few people that can slow down Bird and Stockton in their prime, even if they were covered, they found the open guy. Against his D-Wade, I could also wear him down by throwing Sloan and Raja Bell on him for parts of the game, playing physical in-your-face D, where he would eventually start giving up points on the other end to Gervin from fatigue.

this is by far the closest 1st round matchup IMO.

my issue with Jay Ray's Junk Center's is they'll clog up the flow of the offense.

I'd love to see Bruce Bowen try and slow down Larry Bird.. Birdy would make him his bitch.

Hakeem and Nique are the ones who make it hard to go with Jay Ray automatically, but ultimately I think he would win.

Yes I am concerned with J_Ray's junk Center and Dream's ability to run his offense. This was another tight race; our thoughts are quite similar on this matter CF.

J_Ray's team is somewhat better, though he only has one spot that plays defense. His centers are both DPOY candidates every season in the league.

How is Mutombo a "junk center?"

With the rest of J-Rays starting lineup he doesn't need an offensive center.

agreed, but I still think he clogs the lane by hanging around there and screws up the flow on offense. Unlike Rodman who moved well without the ball and stayed out of the way, I always found Mutombo to stick too close to the rim and with a flyer like Kemp and a slasher like Gervin, it will clog the lane and ruin their mojo :pimp:

I'm going to be biased and give the edge to me for a couple of reasons.

A.) My frontcourt at the PF/C is far superior
    B.) My defense is better
C.) My backcourt is better well rounded and has rings, and is more clutch...George Gervin could score, but that's about it. Same with Mitch Ritchmond. Wade can score and create is more clutch. Dumars can score, create, play incredible defense, and is clutch. Harper see Dumars.
D.) We've all witnessed Nique match Bird, and at times outplay him....the only difference was Bird had a better team....that's not the case this time.
E.) I have better big game players

Bird and Stockton are about the only "big game" players from this list. Would you honestly trust Chris "timeout" Webber in a big game????

    I have

Hakeem, Sampson (at the beginning of his career had his moments when healthy), Wade, Nique, Dumars, and of course Big Shot Bob........I also have plenty of more athleticism than J-Ray................the evidence is in the rings.......I believe Bird is the only person with Rings on that team.

Guys with Rings on My Squad

    Hakeem
    McAdoo
    Grant
    Horry
    Bowen
    Wade
    Dumars

I just think I have him beat in a lot of areas.....................vote on.

Oh and I'd actually be starting Sampson over McAdoo for defensive purposes.........Mcadoo would be an offensive punch off the bench with the 2nd unit which is better defending the perimeter........................
