Tonight's episode was amazing. What about this for an ending: Vic kills Shane. Ronnie's conscious starts eating away at him and fears that Vic and Shane will team up against him and pin everything on him (Money train, etc..). Because of this, Ronnie goes to IAD and confesses everything in turn for immunity. Ronnie = snitch in protective custody. Shane = dead. Vic = fucked. When Vic finds out, since Corrine takes everything from him (his kids), he kills himself?
Don't think Vic is the type to kill himself. He's go after Corrine and Ronnie if it played out like that. -Petey
WOW. That was an awesome episode. Shit really hit the fan, and there's still 5 episodes left. Usually this kind of stuff happens right before a season finale. I just hope it doesn't let up.
Let's say Ronnie decides to testify against Vic for full immunity, and in midst of the trial, Vic eats his gun, would the deal be off the table?
... doubt this is how the show will end. Everything seems to be a mess now. Not happy how they are wrapping up the series now (for the moment). If there is no arrest by next week, I think the show will end with 'deaths on the street'. -Petey
I felt bad for Shane after last night's episode (despite Lem being my favorite character). You could tell he wanted away from the life, away from Vic, and regretted his decisions in life. He was always Vic's whipping boy and followed him through everything and it got him into so much shit. The one action he acts alone on and it ends up ruining his life. I really want to see Vic die someway--it is the only way I think you can bring complete closure to the series. I hope Ronnie gets some immunity and I think maybe we'll see Mara die, too. Where does this leave Shane? Maybe he'll completely flip and testify against Vic or something if Vic doesn't eat it.
Like FX's site... no? They will reshow it during the week too. How could you forget the Shield was on? -Petey
I would bet he has a plan for Ronnie to get away free of this mess, though most likely it won't pan out. Or so I don't think. -Petey
I don't think it'll work out. I can't wait to see Vic's reaction when he finds out he sold out Ronnie to bail out Corrine...who was never in danger at all. BONER!
Ronnie suggested going on the run several times. Perhaps this was why Vic in part did what he did? ... doesn't anyone else see this as out of character for Vic Macky? -Petey
I was planning on watching today's episode tomorrow, but I just couldn't resist. Despite being the leader of all the shit that had happened with the Strike Team, for the most part, Vic gets the best ending. Having to work in an office for 3 years...yeah very boring, but it could have been much worse. In a way you can say that Shane's and Lem's misery ended when they died, but neither one of them wanted that, obviously. (Better than what Ronnie will face) I can't believe that Ronnie is taking the fall for everything. Let's be honest, both him and Lem were hardly responsible for half of the shit that happened. All they did was stay loyal to Vic and Shane. Too bad they didn't go into more detail about Ronnie's arrest. I thought that would have been very interesting.
I would have loved some detail about Ronnie's arrest. Terrible ending for him. I love how Shawn Ryan had the nicest guy on the show, take the hardest fall. Ryan stuck to the "nice guys finish last". I feel bad for his character. Vic strung him along the whole time, and then royally fucked him. Lem was morally the best out of the group--he was my favorite. The last scene with Vic setting up his pictures and the last one being of him and Lem was in a way...touching. I had a feeling Shane would off himself--not his family, though. He was always mentally weak and Ryan brought that to a climax with Shane's final act. Towards the end of the season, I started to feel for Shane. You could see his regret and his pain with every episode. Awesome acting by Walton Goggins. Vic broke even. 3 years getting $60,000 a year isn't a bad break, at all. He just has to live with his conscience, now. When he looked at his gun and laughed, I got the impression that he'd be okay. Vic is heartless and has no soul. He is a free man, he'll be just fine.
Ronnie was just incredibly loyal. He had so many opportunities to make a deal for himself, and string Vic up. Not once did he even consider it. Definitely great acting by Walton. I remember reading that early on in the series, Shane wasn't going to be a major character on The Shield. That would of been a huge loss.
Ronnie was loyal to the end--and got fucked. Poor guy. That was awesome acting when he was being arrested.
How Ronnie took the news on Shane was interesting too. Stinks that Vic could not had warned Ronnie sooner about what was going to happen. Vic at the end turned out very different than how he was the rest of the series. While it was a good ending, I thought that parts such as that did not fit. -Petey
