If you were Smitch and wanted to go into the season with a clear backup for Jose who would you want it to be, Roko or Will?

I'd have to go with Will Solomon to start the season. He looks more ready than Roko from the limited video I've seen.

I'm a big fan of Roko Ukic, he's a Jose in the making. He has lots of potential, he's quick and fun to watch. Hopefully he can get a lot of playing time so can develop and overtake Solomon as a backup for Calderon.. and maybe.. maybe start in the future.

Will Solomon reminds me too much of Juan Dixon, Mike James, etc. Point guards without great vision who are focused too much on getting their own shots off. I don't have a problem with him starting as our backup, because he's a pesky defender who at least forces defenders to respect his shot. But I'd like to see Roko develop enough to take that job away from sometime this season.

    i like roko.

i really hope that he can get there by opening night. the kid can make plays with the dribble and get into the teeth of the d.

his shooting and his defense are the big question marks. can he handle the pressure out of the gate? it's not he he hasn't played professionally before so this next week of practice will be the big test.

    Ditto.

Might as well go with the guy who will give you the best shot at winning. If you need to slow things down and try to grind out a few possesions than maybe go with Will but Roko is waaay better at controlling the offense.

    Roko gets my vote!
