How does rep work?

I have 2 reps I received with comments, yet it says I have a rep of 12 when I go to user CP. Does that mean 10 people have repped me without leaving a comment. Just curious

 

Essentially, the more rep you have, the bigger your e-penis.

That means the people who repped you have a higher rep level. One was an admin, and the other a member+, I'm guessing?

I think the hack is broken. We should be getting more green blocks that say different things when you hover over them.

This other forum I used to be in, it gave you a maximum of 20 green bars. It was pretty much based off of landmarks (1, 5, 10, 15, 20, etc).

 

Rep doesn't me jack! It's for people that want to think they are "awesome" on the internet.

 

It's a way for people to commend you for a post or thread. The fact that it's private is good since it doesn't turn it into a competition.

 

I need that to help me get through the day.
