Listening to KP's interview on the game with Gavin Dawson and he agreed with the host that Greg is 8 weeks away from being back to his gazelle like form. Something to do with "fast twitch" muscles coming around in that time frame. LA and Greg running down the floor with the same athleticism is going to be a sight to see.

It will take at least that long for him to get used to the refs and how they call the game.

Yeah we're expecting too much out of Greg at this point. Building muscle, swimming, and riding an exercise bike is not the same as jumping, running, and cutting.

It's gonna take some time for Greg to get over the mental hurdles since his body isn't even responding the same yet before his injury. I'm sure it's really frustrating for him but he'll get there with some more time. Hell, we might not even see the real Greg until NEXT season.

Actually, 2 months sounds pretty optimistic. I hope he is right.

Sounds about right to me. I've never thought he'd be 100% real Oden to start the season.

Whenever you don't practice a profession/something in general for a year, it takes time to get back to your 100% level, no matter if you're coming off and injury or just rusty. Look at MJ when he came back after the first time he retired. He was out for a longer stretch of time, but it's the same idea.

For me, as long as Oden isn't hurting the team in any way to start the season, I'll be fine with his progression. Around the mid-January mark is when I'll really pay attention to see how Oden is contributing.
