One of them will most likely start at second, but Frandsen may play third and Burriss may start at short. Frandsen makes the most sense at second, but that's assuming Sabean actually acquires a third baseman this offseason (unlike last offseason). Burriss needs to add a little more muscle and work on his approach at the plate. Frandsen just needs to get healthy before worrying about anything else.
Burriss has more potential at the plate. He had a higher on batting average, on base percentage, and slugging percantage than Velez did. In theory I guess it could be Velez at second, Burriss at short, and Frandsen at third, but that might the lightest hitting infield ever. The one thing Velez has going for him is his incredible speed. He's probably as fast as anyone in the majors. All three will certainly get a shot to play everyday in spring training.
