lol remember the 'stripper-dancers' they had on the runway??? totally lame... Elite was cheesy and poorly produced. They had some good fighters and I give them some credit for showing women's MMA, but at the heart of it all, they were ex-boxing crooks trying to make a quick buck off of MMA's popularity as a new mainstream sport. THey were bad for the sport of MMA overall.
Dana has said he'd never do Women's MMA, he doesn't like watching women fight. Hopefully the good ratings Carano has drawn in will change his mind.. or at Least Feretta's mind.. as the brothers own the UFC A great Idea I read suggeted creating a women's division(s) in the WEC to help it grow. I'd love to see that. Some of the women's fights have been the best I've seen in the last year and there is never a dull WEC card
after seeing Gina's last 3 fights and Cristiane Santo's first fight with Elite XC, I'm a fan of women's MMA. It just seems to be non-stop action.. like the LW and FW men's division.
Elite wasn't that bad in my opinion. Honestly though, it was more entertaining watching that chick fight with Gina than watching retard Kimbo getting killed by a nobody in seconds... GO UFC!
I tend to take Dana White's hyperbole with a grain of salt - however - if Elite was involved in shady dealings, then their demise is for the best. It would be a pity if boxing style BS took over MMA.
