Slacker Uprising -- 6/10 -- very dated for a political commentary, should've come out two or three years ago; smaller, less ambitious and more impersonal than his other films; Moore is unusually self-aggrandizing in some sequences; wins points for being free and for genuine musical performances by Eddie Vedder, Steve Earle, and Tom Morello.
I just watched two movies in a row. At first, I watched "The City of God" which is now one of my favourite movies of all-time. 10/10 Then I watched "Rounders", starring young Matt Damon. It's a movie showing the life of those, who make their living playing poker. It was a really great movie, I'll give it eight out of ten.
I keep seeing everyone like City of God, but I can't get myself to watch it. The plot doesn't interest for some reason.
WHAT THE FUCK?! I was just about to type that. Awesome movie. Amazing visuals. Beautifully told. 9/10
Sex Drive - 8/10. Had some really funny parts, but could of been better. Also, the people behind me were dumb as fuck. They kept making stupid obvious comments like "Is he looking for a girl?!?" Like yes you dumb fucks.
I've been repping City of god on here for months now, glad people are finally seeing it. Its my second favorite move of all time. Rounders is also great.
I saw Notting Hill on Bravo the other day. It is definitely a chick flick but I thought it was clever/funny and Hugh Grant was great in it. 8.5/10
I'd give it a 5.5/10. There was some nice action but outside of that it sucked. They totally stripped down the story from the video games so it really sucked for me and my friends who were big fans of the games.
