Good for Wakefield. Tell me what his home runs given up totals look like the past few seasons. Or tell me is ERA. You do know that ERA dictates a performance more than record, right? His ERA is in the mid-fours over the time span you suggested. Well sorry, that's not good. Wakefield sucks, he can't win an important game to save his life. Bringing him back is a huge mistake. You're defending Mike fucking Timlin. I mean, really? Why is anyone supposed give a fuck about 1992?? Or the 2003 fucking postseason? This is NOW. And NOW, Mike Timlin SUCKS. Period. He has SUCKed for the past few seasons. 2005 was his only above average season in Boston. 3 of his last 5 years have horrific for a reliever that pitches in as many as he does. I mean, what the fuck are you thinking, why do you want to glimpse into Mike Timlin's past to somehow justify his being here now? And on the J.C. Romero note, he did pretty fuckin solid in Philly after we let him go. Dave Roberts is a hero in Boston the same way Bill Buckner is a villian. Roberts was acquired as a backup outfielder. Buckner was a productive first baseman. Yet Roberts' legacy skyrockets because he stole a base, and Buckner is a laughingstock because of an error. Granted Roberts stole a crucial base, but A) what else did he do for us, and B) why do you think Theo had somehow had a vision of that situation when he made the deal in July? Roberts was in the right place and the right time. He was the fastest guy on our bench. So, logically, Terry called on him to swipe a base and get into scoring position to hopefully tie the game. Congrats to Roberts, he earned his paycheck. Theo should be scouting director, not GM. He drafts well. Okay. So put him in charge scouting and player development, and keep him from trading David Murphy for Eric Gagne, signing Julio Lugo, signing Matt Clement, trading Edgar Renteria for Andy Marte (who was only traded again two months later, and still hasn't done squat since then), bidding against himself for J.D. Drew and paying him absurd amounts of money for what he provides, gave Curt Schilling free money before this season, NOT making trades at the 2006 deadline that we desperately needed (like, Roger Clemens, Roy Oswalt, they were both on the table and our starting pitching fucked us down the stretch), NOT re-signing Orlando Cabrera to begin with and not starting that revolving door at shortstop, I'm sure there's a few more that aren't quite coming to me right now. Although, Manny would have been awful useful last week. Point is, his trades/free agents record isn't sparkling. If someone who actually had any power around here told me I didn't deserve to be a mod, I would be concerned. Your opinion on my contribution to the site doesn't mean dick. Sorry. Does that satisfy your quality post requirement, officer? Hope I answered all your hard-hitting questions.
I apologize if I find this hilarious. Being a Yankee fan, it definitely brings a smile to my face to see the Red Sox in agony.
lawl, don't feel bad. i find random people venturing into week-old threads to start trouble amusing myself. did anyone else see 'venting threads merged' in the post right above his? cause apparently he didn't.
The last post before his was made on 10/15. His reply was on 10/23. I'm not talking about Moo, I'm talking about GodlessCommie.
