Thomas has not blamed voters, or anyone else for his family's private torment, whatever it may be. He is nothing to any of us, so why kick him when he's down?
Having lost someone close to our family to suicide, I am not surprised the Thomas family is in denial.
If this was say, John Salley, Mark Aguirre, or Joe Dumars, I'd have some compassion for the situation. But it is Isiah Thomas and this train wreck has been moving toward the station for a long time.
Why people didn't think there was anything wrong with the man when he played up that ankle injury years ago it beyond me. However, he just needs help it seems and doesn't strike me as a bad guy so I hope he gets help if he needs it. I suppose if I was responsible for the Knicks as they are I might feel a bit off myself.
