Rumours are that 'Zona is looking at Coach Cal, but it won't happen. Cal already said he isn't leaving Memphis, and he signed an extension with us a few months ago.

Cal isnt going to admit anything to anyone about the UA job, but he is a serious candidate and assuming Cal wouldnt leave Memphis for Arizona is narrowminded. Cal even admits he all but accepted the NC St. job before last season, but NC St. wouldnt pony up the amount Cal wanted for his assistants (what a mistake by NC St.).

The extension Cal signed last year means nothing other than money another school would have to pay Memphis in order to buy out Cal's contract.

Lets also not forget Josh Pastner. Paster left the UA staff this summer to work for Cal. Not saying Pastner knew Lute would retire, but I can gurantee you that Pastner went there with at least a hint that Cal would be in the running for the UA job in the near future.

Fact of the matter is, if UA offers Cal enough money, Cal will seriously consider it.
