You are wrong on so many different levels. Lee’s jumper has definitely improved; you would notice if you have been following the Knicks. Even Allan Houston said “David's jump shot has improved a lot… He has more consistency and confidence in his jumper, so you'll see him pull the trigger a lot quicker this year…” I think one of the greatest shooters of our time is more credible than you in evaluating someone’s jump shot. No one said he was an untouchable player – I just said he’s better than Boone, which you admit. As for your JYD comparison, it’s somewhat off base. Yes, they are both hustle players, but JYD was the superior defender and could even play on the perimeter a bit. Lee is better in just about every category on the offensive end and he’s the better rebounder. You have drastically underrated Lee’s offensive abilities. For one, he’s a much better passer than Boone, and actually has solid footwork like I mentioned above. I don’t know what you consider garbage players, but I’m sure many teams covet garbage players that can come off the bench and average a double-double. In fact, I don’t remember the last NBA player to average a double-double off the bench. I think that’s the reason for his “hype” you claim he gets.
Allan Houston is now working for the Knicks he couldn't cut it in his return to the NBA ofcourse he's going to speak glowingly about him. Lee isn't taking more than what 2-3 jumpers per game, put it like this if you leave him alone he'll hit a few but to sit there and tell me his jumper has improved don't you watch the majority of his shots ? He starts off screens and flashes down, then he's brought in the game when the second unit big men are on the floor, you put a big that is quick and gets physical Lee gets erased from the gameplan. The fact is Eddy Curry was force fed last yr., Randolph drew the double teams and Lee normally would have a mismatch flashing down. No one is underrating Lee, he is good and very talented but he's no top big in the league, he hardly scratches the top 10 in the East. David Lee is a starter ! Everybody has said that, it was your coach who chose to drop him as a 6th man for energy off the bench. The Nets did the same w/ Boone. Lets show you how crazy this is, Tyrus Thomas coming off the bench is dangerous, Glen Davis same thing, He's a damn good player but gets too much hype because his BB IQ is more than the entire roster other than Ewing Jr., the media made him a golden child because he's a whiteboy that can slamdunk and pass the efficient enough, but for all that he plays no D, has no consistant jumper watsoever and if not for his jumping ability wouldn't be in the NBA.
Why are you still arguing? You admitted Lee was better and no one ever implied that Lee was a top 10 big in the East.
